About the Author


Jacqueline Espinoza is a first generation xicana feminist. She holds a degree in the Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, Bachelors of arts  in Chicana/o Studies and a minor in Labor and Workplace Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Jacqueline began writing for an alternative newsmagazine at UCLA, La Gente de Aztlán, where she embraced topics that affect the greater latinx community, students, students of color, critical race theory, intersectionality, womxn, and civil rights. As a first generation college-student, she recognized her privilege in a higher institution and felt the need and responsibility to engage, educate and empower her community.
